Let’s talk about what brought you here. Things may be feeling challenging or you might feel some sense of over whelm due to some new changes or transitions in your life. It might be accompanied with other challenges like emotional imbalance, grief and/or loss, pregnancy, birth or some other stuff that makes it hard to see the brighter days. Or maybe you experienced a traumatic incident or just feel like you got dealt a hand in life that feels hard to play that’s causing your world to feel unsafe, can’t sleep and/or have a lot of anxiety. You’re having problems in the workplace, with family, in a relationship or just with yourself. I’d like to work with you to help find learn more about yourself, create space to talk about and express your needs, and to make things feel more manageable and increase the sense of value in your life.

I believe that in order to reach people, we have to meet them where they are. You are the expert on your life so our work together will be a partnership to help you achieve your goals. My goal will be to help you create a better quality of life using evidence based and solution focused techniques like mindfulness, EMDR, CBT.

As an African-American female, I value diversity in my client base and have a passion for holding space for individuals needing to work through inequities, trauma and barriers in the life or the workplace stemming from their identity. I am an LGBTQ+ ally and strive to continuously educate myself to provide a safe, welcoming space no matter how you identify.I believe that as we work to become better versions of ourselves, we find that life is more enjoyable. Thats not to say we won’t have challenges and obstacles. We have them but we can learn to perceive them differently.

As a professional counselor, I have advanced experience and training in a wide variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse and perinatal(support during planning, pregnancy and postpartum) mental health with varying levels of severity. I believe that in order to reach people, we have to meet them where they are. During our work together my goal will be to help you create a better quality of life using evidence based techniques to help towards some of your life goals, feelings of stucknessk, challenges, and life transitions.
