About Salimah N. Turner, LCSW, CLC

I provide culturally competent behavioral health services to children, adolescents and adults. My role is to empower you to achieve balance between your personal, mental and emotional well-being. Allow me to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. You can’t change difficult situations of the past, however, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. In a collaborative space, we will uncover long-standing behavior patterns and negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling life.

I utilize an interactive approach where I provide support and practical feedback. Culture is incorporated in my work as I understand that culture shapes ones view of themselves and the world around them. I am also a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) and can assist with lactation concerns as they can impact mental health.

I offer a safe, comfortable space to assist you with managing the perils of life that may cause you to feel stuck. I strive to establish an environment where you feel validated and valued as an individual. I recognize that you are the expert on you and I am here to watch the journey unfold. Congratulations on taking the first step! Let’s partner together!
