About Moniecia Walker, LCSW

Hey, I’m Mo, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and before anything else, I want you to know this: you’re safe here. Let’s be real, asking for help isn’t easy so if you’re reading this you’ve already taken one of the hardest steps. I have over six years of experience helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions and everyday stress. I’m a strong believer that everyone deserves a space where they feel seen, heard, supported and empowered. That’s exactly what I strive to create for every client. Whether you’re looking for support, greater self-awareness or practical skills to navigate life’s challenges, we’ll work together to help you move forward in a way that feels right for you.

My approach to therapy is simple: I meet you where you are. Some days that may mean processing difficult emotions and other days it may mean learning new skills or celebrating the progress you’ve made. I believe therapy should feel like a conversation, not a lecture. My work is informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and other evidence-based approaches, which I tailor to fit your individual needs.

There’s no pressure to have everything figured out or share more than you’re ready to. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. We’ll also talk about your goals, answer any questions you have about the therapy process and begin creating a plan that feels right for you. Above all, I want our sessions to feel like a space where you can show up exactly as you are.
