Hello, first I would like to say congratulations on making the first step in making your mental health a priority. I specialize in working with women who are tired of feeling stuck or frozen in an unhappy place due to a traumatic past. I help my clients start the process of owning their story and moving past their trauma. Our past makes us become the person we are today and unfortunately many of us have lived through things that has either harden our hearts, created fear or just respond in ways that no longer benefit us. I help my clients do this by utilizing therapeutic approaches that specifically address trauma.
I have worked with people suffering from severe and persistent mental illnesses living on the street and psychiatric hospitals. I have also worked in jails and those facing capital punishment. This experience has allowed me to see people at their worst and at their best. This experience has also given me the opportunity to learn from so many people-about life, about them and about myself. I have learned that different approaches work for different people and it is my job to assist my client in understanding what works best for them. I am not the expert in your story, you are.
