About Shelby Remillard, LMHC
I am an Indigenous (Laguna Pueblo), Filipina, and Pacific Islander therapist working with clients with histories of trauma, grief and loss, and relationship and attachment struggles. I help clients gain a deeper understanding of the origin of their struggles and develop new coping skills to foster growth. interconnected relational healing, and greater mind/body connection. I am trained in EMDR and will also work with you adjunctly in EMDR treatment along side on-going individual or couples counseling.
Humor is important to me and I incorporate it into my practice often. By using humor along with music, creativity, pop culture examples and storytelling, I strive to engage and inspire clients to consider their challenges or struggles from a new perspective. In my practice, I place a lot of emphasis on social spheres, knowing that healthy connections with others is a vital component in the healing process. My goal is to help clients find their inner strength and to empower them to manifest their most desired life for themselves and their communities.
I acknowledge that therapy may seem like the most intimidating step in the process. I believe that through sharing a safe, supportive space together, you will cultivate courage, invite enthusiasm, and reach your highest imaginable peaks in life. I look forward to our life-changing work together.
