About Chelseyah Bolden, LPC

I am a graduate of Texas Tech University Psychology program, with a minor in Health Professions and University of Texas at San Antonio-Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate program.

I have experience being a program developer, for at-risk youth and student mentor; I also have experience in community centers and non-profit agencies. My passion and professional experience consist of working with marginalized populations experiencing trauma and mental health diagnoses. The populations that I have the most experience with are ethnic minorities and the LGBTQIA community.

My therapeutic orientation is person-centered, trauma-informed, and existential. I believe that taking an eclectic approach allows for the client to lead their treatment while I act as a guide to their recovery. I follow the approach that we can direct our own growth while creating a calming and safe environment for my clients to do so. By moving at the client’s pace, you’re able to celebrate the wins and stumbles in counseling. I am a multi-culturally sensitive counselor who aims to make the counseling experience for minority groups a positive experience in exploring mental health and wellness.
