Welcome! I am glad that you have found me! My name is Alicia, and I am a licensed mental health counselor in South Florida, (Miami/Fort Lauderdale/Boca Raton/West Palm Beach). I have been practicing in the mental health/substance abuse field for over 15 years.
One of my favorite quotes to live by is “Sometimes we are tested not to show our weaknesses, but to discover our strengths.” I believe that seeking therapy should NEVER be seen as a weakness, but rather an opportunity to develop new strengths. I have experience working with individuals, couples, and facilitating group therapy sessions. I work with individuals of all ages, experiencing various life difficulties, and from very diverse backgrounds. I believe that the therapeutic experience should be authentic, warm, and supportive. As your therapist, it is my goal to assist you in becoming the best version of yourself, and I will meet you exactly where you are, and we will work our way up from there!
