About Alana Akong

You are the expert in your life and journey. Even when we think we have the best skills, it can sometimes feel like we are losing grasp of key areas in our lives. As those strings begin to unravel, we can feel the impact of complicated interactions with family and loved ones. We might experience a disconnect between our goals and our current station in life. I work with individuals and couples to share their thoughts freely, explore challenges, and develop solutions and coping mechanisms that support overall wellness.
We examine challenges at work, anxiety, and parts of our environment that feel out of control. I work with individuals and couples to address life transitions including infertility, family planning, postpartum adjustment to parenthood, work transitions and boundary setting. I support you in unpacking your thoughts and feelings and strengthening coping tools and interpersonal skills that will allow you to restore authentic connections and bring balance to your life.
You deserve to feel understood and find peace of mind. I integrate a psychodynamic approach with mindfulness practices and explore your attachments to glean a deeper understanding of who you are and how your relationships impact your experience. I’m excited to take this journey with you. If you are ready, let’s connect!
