About Ahava Counseling & Mediation Practice

Everyone deserves a chance to become their best selves. Hello, my name is Brittany Cook and I have gained over 10 years of experience working directly with individuals of all ages, families, and groups in the mental health field. I’ve provided psycho-education on various topics to educate and empower individuals and groups. My approach can be described as technically eclectic; using a non-judgmental, person-centered approach as my foundation. I integrate concepts, techniques, and interventions from various researched based theories to tailor treatment to meet the needs of each unique individual; not limited to Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or Nurturing Parenting method. My strengths include the ability to create a safe, trusting environment for culturally diverse clients, my highly empathic and supportive nature, and my ability to be flexible and creative in order to respond to the changing needs of my clients throughout the counseling/education process. I’ve been trained as a professional mediator specializing in alternative dispute resolutions techniques. My areas of specialization and interest include but are not limited to: healthy relationships, depression, anxiety, parenting issues, faith issues, adjustment issues, everyday life stressors, disruptive behavior, mood adjustment disorders, anger, conflict, and self esteem. Thank you for trusting me to be apart of your process.
